Last month, we asked you to donate to our Azara crowdfunding campaign. We’ve been blown away by the response: 161 of you gave whatever you could, from £5 to £2,000. We raised £11,670 – more than meeting our £10,000 goal.
Thanks to you, we can announce that this summer, participants will contribute through a ‘pay what you can’ model. While we are dependent on participants’ contributions, we’re letting people decide for themselves what they are able to pay. Nobody will be turned away through lack of funds.
Suggested contributions will be at three levels, including accommodation, breakfast, and lunch for the month:
Unwaged – £400
Waged – £800
Supporter – £1600
We did a lot of research into different models for fees, and we’re really excited to be running the yeshiva as ‘pay what you can’. It means that our learning won’t be gated behind financial checks or requirements. It means we can recognise the gift of time that full-time participants are giving, and support them to bring that learning back into the wider community.
We’re so grateful to everyone who donated, large and small, and to our amazing fundraising volunteers. Your support makes it possible to build a British yeshiva that’s accessible to all, and create a culture of learning in our community. We still have plenty of fundraising to do over the next few months, and your contributions are still warmly welcome.

Thank you from all of us!
